If you plan to travel around Pyeongchang County or Gangneung, I would like to highly recommend to visitDaegwallyeong sheep farm. 'Daegwallyeong sheep ranch' and 'Daegwallyeong Samyang ranch' are the most famous two sheep farms in Korea.
'Daegwallyeong sheep ranch' is the place where one person started to construct and have been expanding for a few decades. This farm is not small but enough to stroll around. Entrance fee costs about $4 (\4,000).
On the contrary, 'Daegwallyeong Samyang ranch ' is owend by quite a big Korean private company, Samyang. Thus, this farm is so huge that you need to take a bus to move around. Naturally entrancee is $9 (\9,000), which is almost twice more expensive than 'Daegwallyeong sheep ranch'
In the first place, we (I and my girl friend) didn't know that there were two sheep farms in Gangwon -do. Thus, 'Daegwallyeong sheep ranch' was selected by a navigation system in a car. Even though we haven't been in 'Daegwallyeong sheep ranch', this place was very satisfying!
◎ Location
It was located near YongPyong Ski resort. It took only 30 minutes by a car from there to 'Daegwallyeong sheep ranch'.
When you arrive at the entrance of Daegwallyeong sheep ranch, you will find this green sign board that indicates the direction of the ranch.

The ticket has to be kept because it is able to be exchanged with a haystack at the last spot of tour of this sheep's stall .
40mins distance to take a look all around this ranch. Walking 40mins distance may sound exhausted. However, looking around wide grass and a herd of sheep, 40mins passes surprisingly fast.
From the sign above, beautiful scenery spreads out before our eyes. On the top of the hill along this trail, you can view whole ranch fro there.
