[Gyeonggi-do/ Pangyo] On ne sait jamais(Cafe) - Let's read book with drinking bottles of beer.

On ne sait jamais is a café located near Pangyo Station. It is one of branches of the On ne sait jamais in Itaewon.

The overall interior of this café has been decorated by its unique fabric, while Itaewon one decorated by exotic ceramic tiles. All the tables and sofas in Pangyo On ne sait jamais are made of this unique fabric, creating exotic atmosphere.

This place are famous for various flavors of cakes. All the displayed cakes looks very delicious.

One another special thing about this place is that you can drink alcohols such as wines, cocktails and beers.

In Korea, it is very rare to find a café where you can drink alcohols. That is what I liked especially about this place.

I like reading books. But I like reading books with beers more.

Because the office of my girlfriend is located in Pangyo, I often come here and wait for her reading books with beer. Although it is very short, I really enjoys this kind of happy moment.

[Seoul/ Nambu Bus Terminal Station] The morning of King Gojong(Cafe) - Let's chill out dringking a nice cup of coffee.

▲ Exit 4-2 of Nambu Bus Terminal Station

▲ Seoul Art Center is located near this staion

Recently on the way to Seoul Art Center to see the exhibition of Alphonso Mucha's paintings,  I found one nice cafe called 'The morning of King Gojong' near Nambu Bus Terminal Station. I like this place because of its cozy atmosphere and various coffee from different beans.

▲ Ms. M.K. arrived earlier and was waiting for me

'The morning of King Gojong'  is located in one alley near the exit 4-2 of Nambu Bus Terminal Station. It is right between Nambu Bus Terminal Station and Seoul Art Center. Thus, you can drop by and enjoy a cup of coffee on the way to Seoul Art Center or back to Nambu Bus Terminal Staion.

▲ The interior inside was very antique styled
▲ Those who enjoyed their coffee looks very comfortable
▲ In a corner, there were sacks of coffee beans from many different countries
Going inside by opening the door of cafe, People who are enjoying their coffee in a very peceaful mood caught my eyes. The atmosphere was totally different between inside and outside of the door to this cafe.
Meanwhile, when I first heard this cafe name, 'the morning of King Gojong', it did sound pretty awkward. However, once I came here and saw the antique atmosphere, it was very quite obvious why this cafe was named after one king's name in an old Korea history.
▲ A menu of the morning of King Sejong
On menu, there were various kinds of hand dripped coffee, tea and even some beers. Especially, when it comes to coffee, there were many different coffee manu depending on the beans you chose. I really liked it because you can taste different coffees from what you usually drank in a common franchiser coffee shop like Starbuck
▲ They serves you a cup of hand dripped coffee on spot
▲ It takes some time to be served though.

I decided to try Tanzania AA coffee bean and a peace of toast. Once you order, a barista brewed a cup of a hand dripped coffe on spot in short time and the smell of raosting is spreading out.

▲A cup of coffee and a cookie

▲ Toast has been served toghether

Finally, food and a coffee has been served. This Tanzania coffee bean known as 'Kilimanjaro' has a very nutty tasting and a little bit sour tasting . When I sipped my coffee with a crispy toast, it couldn't be better taste. I thought that perhaps this might be a happiness we can find in our daily life.

The last sunset in 2016 and the first sunrise in 2017.

I Spent the yearend season of 2016 and celebrated a new year of 2017 in Jeju Island of Korea.

The first of 2017 in Yongnuni oreum, Jeju Island

Overall, the year, 2016 was full of very warm and happy moments, which will remain inside me for a long time. Every people have their own warm moments of their life. Being given the Christmas gifts by Santa Clause, Skipping a class with friends in childhood, the first amusement park with my parent, etc. These are my own warm moments.

I thought that I would never be able to make those memories, now that I'm already quite old. However, I made a lot of them in 2016 and I will remember whenever life made me tired and exhauseted. I'm very thankful I can have them.

Good bye, 2016.

Adieu!

Christmas Card

My girlfriend and I wanted to spend Christmas in a special way this year. Thus, we decided to throw a Christmas party by inviting close friends of ours and make Christmas cardes that will send to those friends as an invitation letter.

For the purpose of attaching in the card, we took a self photo of us and printed it out too. It was quite awkward to be calm in front of a camera in the middle of the street. We had to bear glances from people, however managed to get a satifying picture anyways.
After a few days, Ms. MK(my girl friend) and Mr. MK(myself) met again in a cafe and worked on making a card with some materials such as colored pencils, scissors, some color papers.

I put a lot of effort into this work to make it look good enough. The result was very miserable though.

On the contrary, the ones my girl friend made were really well made. Whoever will get this card, they must feel happy.

Now that my card looks very lame, I started feel sorry for my friends who will get these cards. Their faces keep coming across my mind. This affects all my cards goes by "Dear my friend, I’m sorry for having a clumsy hand"

The Autumn in Sroul, Korea

When the Autumn season comes in Korea, many people go driving to the suburbs to look around the fall leaves. However, it is not very difficult to feel the Autumn in your normal life. This is because the fall leaves are every where in Seoul at this  point of time.

20160906 A trip to New York. 4 days left

Now that only 4 days are left from a trip to New York, I and my girl friend met at late night after finishing each one's work. Preparing for travelling is not always fun and easy but sometimes  hassle and difficult part. She must have felt tired considering that she worked on preparation for the trip after her work.

Nevertheless she didn't grumble at all and talked to me with a beautiful smile all the time.
This is what I really appreciate for her.

I also didnt feel tired at all while preparing for travelling.
Probably it will be totally different if it is without my girlfriend.

As always, it matters who we are with.

[Dobongsan mountain] Climbing mountains with good friends(도봉산)

Last weekend I and my two best friends visited 'Dobongsan mountain' again after a year.
At that time, I was just a new emplyee of my company not knowing a real society. So do my two friends. We were naive believing thatour lives will be full of happy moments after getting a job finally.

So last year we talked a lot about our future life in a positive way.
On the contrary, this year most of our topics were about irrationalities of society, dissatisfaction with each one's boss, unstable future and etc. Usually negative ones.

Anyways, Dobongsan is famous for a rocky mountain. It belongs to one of the steepest and the most rugged mountain in Seoul. It takes about 2 hours from the entrance to Jaunbong peak, the highest peak(740m)in Dobongsan mountain. It is located in Dobong-gu, Seoul.
You can take subway line no.1 or no.7 and take off at Dongsan station.

◎ Cheonchuksa Temple

You can find Cheonchuksa Temple  on a way to Jaunbong peak. It is approximately located in the middle of Dobongsan mountain. This temple was built by Euisang Daesa, historical monk in 673. Thus, this temple is more than a thousand year old.

Please refer to the below link, if you want to know more about this temple.

Climbing 20 minutes from the temple, this open area which can see the city of seoul clearly came out. People were taking a rest to comfort their fatique. Fortunately, this day the weather was fantastic. After scorching hot of this summer, cool automn weather finally came.

It took 30 more minutes before 'Jaunbong' appeared in my sight. Clmibing  Jaunbong is not prohibited due to its danger. Instead, you can climb up Sinseondae right next to Jaunbong. you can view whole city on this Sinseondae.

This magnific rocks pile is 'Jaunbong'

As we did last year,  we took some selfies on this 'Sinseondae'.
By chance, it was just a year ago that we came this mountain, 'Dobongsan mountain.'

A year has changed many things surrounded by our lives.
I realized that we ourself also changed in many ways.

Since our life background got totally different, we no longer to shares common interest.
However, that is okay. I believe there is a root named memories in the past and they will bond us, even though we will live different life.

Check out the below pictures.
They were taken a year ago when we climbed this mountain.
